This melodic trio form the latest collection of local singer-songwriters to bridge the ever-narrowing pop-classical divide by collaborating with the Art of Time Ensemble on specially commissioned works. Each gentleman has proven to be plenty adventurous in his own right, whether that means Michel’s witty take on rock and folk, Southworth’s avidly surreal brand of pop, or Tielli’s wide array of recent music, which already includes pieces inspired by Viennese composer Arnold Schoenberg and matchups with Art of Time’s Jonathan Goldsmith. For these concerts, they’ll be performing new songs inspired by Erich Korngold’s Suite for Two Violins, Cello and Piano.—Jason Anderson
