C. R. Avery

He has yet to proclaim himself the hardest-working man in (Canadian) show business, but this Vancouver-based hipster dynamo sure keeps busy onstage. Somehow, he manages to find time to drop hip-hop rhymes and regale listeners with an entertaining stream of post-beatnik jive admired by none other than Tom Waits.—Jason Anderson
