Toronto Jewish Film Festival

One of the liveliest fests in town opens with a movie about an El Al flight attendant and an abandoned Chinese boy (Noodle), and closes with a tribute to TIFF co-founder Dusty Cohl that includes a look at one of his personal heroes (Pete Seeger: Power Of Song). In between, there’s lots of comedy, an appearance by Sharon, Lois & Bram, and tempting nibbles—herring, brisket, ice cream—for the crowd in line. Bloor Cinema, 506 Bloor St. W.; Miles Nadal JCC, 750 Spadina Ave.; and other venues.—Brent Ledger
