Grammy-winning Brooklynite Dan Zanes is the artist-in-residence headlining Luminato’s family program. Highlights include a singalong at a midtown Kiehl’s store, June 9; music workshops and a jam session at Harbourfront Centre, June 14; and a hands-on seminar at the Ontario Science Centre, exploring the science of music, June 14. At the end of the week, Dan Zanes and Friends perform an eclectic mix of family-friendly tunes, from sea shanties to West Indian folk music. All ages. June 15. Adults $35, children 14 and under $25. The Music Hall, 147 Danforth Ave. In David S. Craig’s Rocket and the Queen of Dreams, shadow theatre, puppetry and music bring to life the magical monsters that fill a young boy’s nighttime imaginings. Register for pre-show shadow puppetry workshops or stay for a post-performance Q&A. All ages. — Hadley Dyer
