Everywhere he goes, young Charlie sees him: the man in the junk-pile suit, stuffing rubbish into an old baby carriage. Fascination turns into a fortuitous friendship, one that saves both their lives. Edward the Crazy Man, Emil Sher’s adaptation of Marie Day’s book of the same name, is a hopeful look at mental illness, homelessness and second chances. A Q&A with the actors and mental health professionals follows the performance. Ages nine and up. — Hadley Dyer
