Waterfront Blues Festival

Toronto’s only annual blues festival, which took root at Woodbine Park last year, is a three-day event that presents both contemporary and traditional forms, drawing on local and international talent. Jack de Keyzer’s playing is steeped in the blues but moves comfortably toward the celebratory rhythms of rockabilly and swing. Although his reputation—solidified by seven Maple Blues awards and a Juno—has been built on his brilliant guitar playing, de Keyzer is also a fine singer-songwriter. June 12.
