In 2009, Eliana Cuevas won Best Latin Performer at the National Jazz Awards, a strong endorsement for the Venezuela-born singer, who is both an effective songwriter and a performer strongly in touch with the folk roots of her chosen genre. She’s joined here by her regular accompanists, including the superb pianist Luis Guerra, bassist George Kollar and percussionist Luis “Luisito” Orbegoso, April 18. $15. Pianist Sean Bellaviti hosts a salsa–Latin jazz jam every Wednesday with drummers Orbegoso and Max Senitt, trumpeter Alexander Brown and bassist Paco Luviano, April 7, 14, 21 and 28.
