Harris Eisenstadt’s Canada Day

In a world where a weekend spent in Brooklyn often leads Canadian jazz musicians to apply for green cards, émigré percussionist and composer Harris Eisenstadt trumpets his roots while leading an almost all-American band in an afternoon concert. It’s an opportunity to hear trumpeter Nate Wooley, saxophonist Matt Bauder, vibraphonist Chris Dingman, and bassist Eivind Opsvik. Canada Day is launching its eponymous debut CD on the Lisbon label Clean Feed.—Stuart Broomer
