Dave Young Octet

The silver-haired Young has covered a lot of ground—he’s been a bass player in several symphony orchestras, including the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, and in his jazz life has recorded with Oscar Peterson, Cedar Walton, Lenny Breau and others. For his horn-heavy octet, he has surrounded himself with an eclectic group of star players, like Terry Promane and Kevin Turcotte.
