We’re a city of broken dreams, it seems. Mark Osbaldeston’s book, Unbuilt Toronto: A History of the City That Might Have Been, and its accompanying exhibit about projects that never were includes Federal Avenue of 1911, a Buckminster Fuller plan from 1968, and the tower that got lopped from Eaton’s College Street development when the Depression hit. A joint effort with the Toronto Society of Architects, the result offers an incisive perspective on Toronto’s past and future directions.
