Back for another year of psychic probes, the 16th annual festival explores the many facets of mental illness with 21 programs of shorts and features, including flicks about a doctor with unnerving symptoms (The Doctor Who Hears Voices) and a woman whose over-the-top hoarding is slowly pushing her out of her own home (My Mother’s Garden). Experts, filmmakers and people directly affected by the issue at hand discuss each work after the screening.—Brent Ledger
