Apart from the odd reality show cameo, Eric Ripert eschews the typical celebrity chef lifestyle: most days, he can be found behind the stoves at Le Bernardin, his glamorous French restaurant in Manhattan. (A star chef who still cooks? How novel!) In town to promote his latest cookbook, On the Line, the silver fox promises to illustrate his culinary prowess with sample tastings of his recipes and to reveal a secret or two about running a Michelin three-star restaurant.
