The grand old lady of the lakefront celebrates her 130th birthday with an Aerialist and Equestrian Show (Aug. 15 to 28), an illusionist and escape act (Ridgeway & Johnson, Aug. 15 to Sept. 1), and a mix of fireworks, music and acrobatics on a nightly basis. Also new: a rodeo; a history of the toilet; and a Quilt of Belonging, representing more than 200 aboriginal and immigrant groups. Old faves include the Air Show and the Bandshell, featuring ’70s rockers The Stampeders (Aug. 17). —Brent Ledger
