Canadian Aboriginal Festival

With its cast of nearly 1,000 singers, dancers and drummers, the big powwow is the main event, but this 15th annual fest also includes a lacrosse competition, fashion show, educational workshops and musical performances (courtesy of the 10th annual Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards). In addition, musicians also perform at various sites over the course of the British Columbia–themed weekend.—Brent Ledger
