Tilting toward the experimental, the ninth annual festival showcases a wealth of Latin film, video and multimedia work, much of it curated by South Americans or originating in such trailblazing artistic centres as São Paulo’s Video Brasil and El Basilisco, near Buenos Aires. Web art, a Mexican video installation, a talk on contemporary Colombian photography and a photography exhibit by Peruvian-Canadian artist Paola Denegri are also on offer.—Brent Ledger
