Xing Bang Fu explores the struggle between light and darkness in White, the first part in his new dance trilogy. Xing’s chor­eographic style is a fusion of ballet with Chinese traditional dance and Japanese butoh; his company consists of multicultural dancers trained in both Western and Eastern dance styles.—Paula Citron
