Dancer and choreographer Keiko Kitano joins musician and composer Aki Takahashi to present the world premiere of Yanagi: Spirit of the Willow Tree, a collaboration inspired by Japanese ghost stories, which frequently feature the willow tree. Kitano will perform under the garden’s beautiful weeping willow to live flute music played by Takahashi. Also on the program is the world premiere of Soulmate, composer Chan Ka Nin’s solo for cellist Shauna Rolston.—Paula Citron
