With Summer Dance and Opera Concert, the Toronto company presents the best of classical Peking opera and Chinese dance repertoire through the work of two master artists: China’s Sun Yuan Chen and Jiang Yan Ling, who will interpret san (male) roles and dan (female) roles, respectively. Canadian William Lau, a Peking opera specialist, will also appear. Artistic director Emily Cheung, meanwhile, performs the beautiful Drunken Concubine dance. —Paula Citron
