The physically and emotionally charged show Falling to Grace features the works of acclaimed dancesmiths Tanya Crowder and Julia Sasso. Swallowed Hollow is Crowder’s searing solo inspired by her mother’s 30-year battle with manic depression, while Sasso performs an expanded version of Accidental Dances, her solo about memory, longing and regret. The revered Sasso has also created a new piece for Crowder—Unspeakable—one which presents both the virtuosic and psychological sides of the dancer.—Paula Citron
