First created for the resident dance company of the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts in 2007, Displacement tackles the immigrant experience. The creators—choreographer Robert Glumbek, composer Christos Hatzis and artist Vessna Perunovich—are all immigrants who’ve made significant contributions to Canada’s cultural life. The world-famous Penderecki String Quartet also performs.—Paula Citron
