Dusk Dances 2008

Once again, Dusk Dances’ outreach program presents evening concerts in a North York park. Let It Move You! features contemporary choreography by William Yong and Sylvie Bouchard and, as always, young local talent. The choreographies are scattered throughout the park in site-specific venues, with comedian Blakka Ellis leading the crowd from piece to piece. Urban dance choreographers Brandon Roache (of Rated Inc.) and Lady Noyz also perform, as does local steel pan band Pan Fantasy. A nature-inspired pre-show adventure for children kicks off the Saturday event, while post-show activities are aimed solidly at the teenage set.—Paula Citron
