Cirque du Soleil is constantly finding new ways to define—and market—itself. Saltimbanco, which premiered in 1992, is one of the company’s most successful shows, having been performed by an international cast before 10 million people in 75 cities on five continents. Recently reconfigured for an arena instead of a big top, it has now been given a more tour-friendly lease on life. —Paula Citron
