To celebrate its 20th anniversary, this top-notch contemporary Afro-Caribbean company takes the audience on a tour of its repertoire. The retrospective is entitled Sankofa, which, in the Akan language of the Asante people of Ghana and the Ivory Coast, means taking what is good from the past and bringing it into the present. African and Caribbean dance and music lead up to contemporary pieces inspired by the black diaspora.—Paula Citron
