Titled Hope and Glory, this concert serves up Canadian composer Derek Healey’s Tribulation and the Morning Trumpet, 20th-century Scottish-born composer Robert Bruce’s Symphony in B-flat Major, Czech Bohuslav Martinu’s Memorial to Lidice and Beethoven’s Symphony no. 9 in D Minor, op. 125. Soloists in the Beethoven are soprano Eve Rachel McLeod, mezzo-soprano Vicki St. Pierre, tenor Min Jin and baritone Nicolae Raiciu. Kerry Stratton conducts.—Rick MacMillan
