This idyllic outdoor venue winds up another season of eclectic music making at the foot of Bathurst Street. In store for visitors is Bach at Dusk, with TSO principal cellist Winona Zelenka continuing her cycle of Johann Sebastian Bach’s six suites for solo cello with Suite no. 1 in G Major. Sept. 4. Hailing from Toronto and Boston, the young members of Rosetta Trio—violinist Abigail Karr, violist Sarah Darling and cellist Kate Bennett Haynes—give the final performance of the year with selections from Mozart and Schubert, as well as a commission by American composer Christopher Hossfeld. Sept. 14. Those eager to learn about the Music Garden’s unique design and history will want to take advantage of the free 45-minute tours led by Toronto Botanical Garden volunteer guides on Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings. Self-guided audio tours lasting 70 minutes, hosted by the piped-in voices of renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma and garden designer Julie Moir Messervy, are also available for $5.—Rick MacMillan
