Over three mornings, the American organist performs J. S. Bach’s Prelude and Fugue for Organ in E Minor, BWV 548 (“Wedge”), Prelude and Fugue for Organ in A Minor, BWV 543, and selections from The Well-Tempered Clavier; samples of his adaptation of Leopold Godowsky’s arrangement of Frédéric Chopin’s Etudes; Jeanne Demessieux’ Octaves from Six Etudes in C-sharp Minor, op. 5; and Dimitri Shostakovich’s Festive Overture in A Major, op. 96.—Rick MacMillan
