Centre Island’s celebration of cutting-edge sound art marks its 10th anniversary with a series of gallery installations and sound sculptures, as well as outdoor and indoor concerts, site-specific performances, artist talks and workshops. Catch demonstrations of Barry Prophet’s Synthecycletron (a pedal-powered contraption that sets off synthesizers and generates sounds); check out Robert Mulder and Kristi Allik’s Sonic Boardwalk (a micro-sound landscape that’s activated by the kinetic imprint of passersby); or take part in a free Soundwalk.
