Baroque violinists Elizabeth Blumenstock and Kathleen Kajioka, viola da gambist Joëlle Morton and harpsichordist Borys Medicky perform a program of northern German music from the late 17th century, often characterized by unpredictable melodic turns and surprising harmonies. Included are Hamburg organist Johann Adam Reincken’s Sonatas From Hortus Musicus, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Praeludium and Fuga, After Reincken and a contemporary work by Belinda Reynolds titled Envision.—Rick MacMillan
