Pianist Gwendolyn Mok and bassoonist Michael Sweeney join Via Salzburg, under founder and artistic director Mayumi Seiler, for a mixed chamber music and string orchestra program. Sweeney can be heard in Canadian composer Marjan Mozetich’s Concerto for Bassoon, String Orchestra and Marimba; Seiler and Mok in Maurice Ravel’s Violin Sonata no. 2; the pianist alone in solo pieces by Ravel; and the orchestra under Seiler’s direction in George Gershwin’s Lullaby for String Orchestra.—Rick MacMillan
