Hymns for Hers features the distaff choir in traditional and contemporary arrangements of songs of praise, with special guests Michael Bloss (organ) and Leslie Newman (flute). Under artistic director William Brown, the group presents world premieres of six commissioned arrangements, including All Creatures of Our God and King by Eleanor Daley; Fairest Lord Jesus by Leonard Enns; Be Thou My Vision by Ruth Watson Henderson; and Praise My Soul by Jon Washburn. Also scheduled are original works and arrangements by John Beckwith, Aaron Copland, Srul Irving Glick, Derek Holman, Kirby Shaw, Mack Wilberg and others.—Rick MacMillan
