Created to explore the uniqueness of music from the Far North, Nunavut brings together the Grammy-winning Kronos Quartet and Inuit vocalist Tanya Tagaq. Also featured are works by Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho (Nymphéa); Canadian Derek Charke (Tundra Songs); Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós (Flugufrelsarinn); Norwegian electrofunk band Xploding Plastix; and a world premiere by Swedish duo Hurdy-Gurdy. — Rick MacMillan
