The late German modernist Karlheinz Stockhausen created music that can only be classified as enigmatic. Lise Daoust, Geneviève Deraspe, Chloé Labbé, François Duval and Marie-Hélène Breault tackle his Entführung, for piccolo and electronics; Flautina, for flutes; AVE From Eve’s Magic, for alto flute and basset horn; and Kathinkas Gesang, for flute and electronics.—Rick MacMillan
