Artistic director and flutist Robert Aitken and the ensemble focus their attention on British composer Jonathan Harvey, who serves as the Michael and Sonja Koerner Visitor at the U of T faculty of music this month. Slated for performances are his works The Riot, for flute or piccolo, bass clarinet and piano; Varja, for chamber ensemble; and Bird Concerto With Pianosong, for solo piano, chamber ensemble and live electronics (featuring soloist Hidéki Nagano).—Rick MacMillan
