Nathan Gunn

The first winner of the Beverly Sills Award for young singers back in 2006, this American baritone has been praised for his electrifying performances. (Those who follow this sort of thing will also recall that he was a pick in People’s annual Sexiest Man Alive issue two years later.) He appears with his piano accompanist and wife, Julie Gunn, in a program that includes a group of songs by Schubert (including Das Rosenband, Viola and Die Taubenpost), American composers Benjamin Moore and Charles Ives, and singer Tom Waits.—Rick MacMillan
