Guest conductor Alain Trudel leads this impressive brass band, and clarinet soloist James Campbell, in the Toronto premiere of Howard Cable’s Georgian Bay Reflections, a work inspired by the paintings of Doris McCarthy. The remainder of the program, aptly titled Making Overtures, consists of the introductory movements to Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, Hector Berlioz’s Corsair and Domenico Cimarosa’s Impresario.—Rick MacMillan
