Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts

This series of noon-hour events takes place at the opera house’s Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre, showcasing both young and established artists. Classical performances include the New Music Ensemble of the Glenn Gould School under conductor Brian Current, in works inspired by stories of civil liberties and conflict by Luciano Berio and James Rolfe, April 6; pianist Linda Ippolito in French and Latin delights by Poulenc (Trois novelettes) and Ginastera (Danzas Argentinas), April 7; Trio Accord in a string arrangement of J. S. Bach’s monumental Goldberg Variations, April 8; COC Ensemble Studio members in Pergolesi’s 1733 comic opera La serva padrona, about the cunning maid Serpina and her aging master Uberto, April 15; 18th-century English composer Samuel Arnold’s recently reconstructed opera Polly, in a premiere performance by the Aradia Ensemble under conductor Kevin Mallon, April 22; and Lyricism in Wagner, a talk by Stephen R.
