Just a decade old, this Vancouver group is increasingly popular in Asia—as evidenced by the selection of Taiwanese folk songs in this evening’s program. An ardent booster of Canadian works, Borealis will also be playing Imant Raminsh’s Quartet no. 1; classics lovers get Grieg’s lovely Quartet no. 1.
