The world-renowned Canadian pianist plays a recital that features Johann Sebastian Bach’s Italian Concerto in F Major, BWV 971, Beethoven’s Sonata in D Major, op. 10, no. 3, and Johannes Brahms’s Sonata in F Minor, op. 5. Astonishingly, this year marks the 25th anniversary of Hewitt’s win at Toronto’s International Bach Piano Competition held at Roy Thomson Hall.—Rick MacMillan
