This celebrated Hungarian-born pianist is a two- time Grammy winner and a prolific recording artist who recently completed his cycle of all 32 of Ludwig van Beethoven’s piano sonatas for the ECM label. His program includes Felix Mendelssohn’s Variations sérieuses, op. 54, and Robert Schumann’s Sonata in F‑sharp Minor, op. 11.—Rick MacMillan
