Kim Ondaatje

This is the first full retrospective for Ondaatje, the talented landscape painter once married to writer Michael, with whom she founded Blueroof Farm, an artists’ haven just outside Kingston—and a place she describes as her “final canvas.” Unsurprisingly, Ondaatje has a percipient love of nature, and of Canadian vistas. Her acrylic depictions of Toronto’s harbour and Sudbury’s Inco slag train are honest and non-judgmental: they represent cornerstones of our national industry with eerie reverence.
