Last fall, Katie Bethune-Leamen placed her miniature mushroom models, complete with field guide, all over Parkdale. This year, she’s sticking a plus-size version—which will occasionally double as her studio space—in the middle of the Sculpture Garden. The piece sparks a host of allusions, from Alice in Wonderland to Super Mario Brothers, positioning the artist as a kind of magical gnome.—David Balzer
