Chambers, who died of leukemia in 1978 at the age of 47, explored an astonishing variety of media in his too-short life. His paintings dabbled in both the surreal and the realistic, while one of his many experimental films, The Hart of London, is considered a classic. This survey of his work is the largest since a 1988 London retrospective.
