Dean Drever

After entertaining the gallerygoers at MKG127 last year with one and a half giant yellow bears made of EPS foam and coated in flocking, Dean Drever has created some new beasties for a Toronto Sculpture Garden exhibit. Drever—who is Haida, a culture that endows bears with an imperious character—once again cuts up his creatures (four orange Kodiak bears this time) and places them against the venue’s adjacent wall to make it look as if they are passing to and from another dimension. Artwork prices TBA.—David Balzer
