Vintage Vultures

The city’s newest used clothing mecca By Denise Balkissoon

Mick Jackson was sourcing clothing for Queen West West hipster hot spot 69 Vintage when he met Staysail Shedd, who worked the front desk. It was a match made in vintage heaven, and the two went out on their own, taking their expert knowledge of classic military wear and old-school motorcycle leather to eBay. For the past two years, they’ve run Showdown Vintage as a wildly successful on-line shop. Get on their e-mail list for invites to monthly shopping parties.
By appointment only. 419 Shaw St., 647-346-6958, www.showdownvintage.com.
