My stress: In this market, it’s been very intense. I watch BNN in the morning, before I even shower. I’m at the office by 7:30 or 7:45 and I don’t leave until 5:30. The busiest time is from 9 to 9:30, the half hour before the market opens. I manage close to $5 million in assets, which translates to 25 or 30 relationships with clients. I usually bring my lunch and eat it at my desk.
What works: I’ll stretch my legs—nobody can tell I’m doing that under my desk. Then I’ll stand up and stretch out my back and shoulders. My wife is the director of fitness at the Mayfair clubs; I take her spin class. I also play squash in a community league and hockey in a men’s league with my brother, so five nights a week I’m doing something outside the office.
