Treadwell pays homage to Port Dalhousie's local bounty By James Chatto

During Stephen Treadwell’s 10 years as executive chef at Queen’s Landing in Niagara-on-the-Lake, a highlight of his summer menus was the dazzling produce from nearby Wyndym Farm, harvested just hours before dinner. Now the farm has a fresh showcase at Treadwell, the chef’s new place in Port Dalhousie’s harbour. Treadwell will offer “farm-to-table cuisine”—fresh, simple, seasonal and reasonable (three courses, $48)—from a short, constantly changing menu. Meanwhile, son James Treadwell, a sommelier, has been raiding local wineries for rare library bottlings—much better after the regatta than a beer.
Treadwell, 61 Lakeport Rd., St. Catharines, 905-934-9797.
