In the brief, bright life of Milford Bistro, Michael Potters’ French- inspired cooking (honed at Winston’s and Accolade) wowed Prince Edward County diners, but the job was never easy. Milford had six burners and seats for just 18; for Potters and his wife, Karin, getting back to the land was becoming uncomfortably claustrophobic. Enter Harvest, their new 56-seat bistro (plus patio) in Picton. This summer, they’re offering a 100-mile menu ($75) with such local ingredients as county boar and even cattails. Karin, who manages the house, will pour local wines from an international list. And the kitchen? “Now we’ve got 18 whole burners,” she says. Let the celebration begin.
