Centro
Urban sophistication comes to Collingwood By Rob Mifsud
Après ski: Centro by the Hill

Partners Armando Mano and Bruce Woods have carved out a reputation for offering superlative dining at Centro. With their latest venture, Centro by the Hill at Blue Mountain, they’re trading their business suits for snowsuits. The partners hope to woo the discriminating outdoorsy set—indeed the bright bistro is just a snowball’s throw from Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill. Right at the base of the slopes, skiers can practically slalom up to the entrance and tuck into a lunchtime prime rib burger. Classics, like steak frites or homemade gnocchi, tempt at the dinner hour. But once they’ve indulged, can the ski bunnies summon the will to return to the slopes?
Centro by the Hill, 156 Jozo Weider Blvd., Collingwood, 705-445-2718.
