Reflecting back on my own past, I can recall, as if it were yesterday, peering out the window of my grandparent's bakery at 23 Baldwin and honestly believing that nothing would or could ever change. It was a part of a beautiful neighborhood and all the neighbors, from the Mandels to the Roschwergs and the Mandels, were an extension of our family. Although I now live over three thousand miles away, it's quietly comforting to read your beautifully written article about how things are are back home.
