How the Fashion Design Council diva, who presides over the runways of this month’s Fashion Week, would spend a single perfect day By Amy Verner

I would wake up and tiptoe past my 16-year-old daughter Zoe’s room, letting her sleep in. I’d have a breakfast of raspberries, blackberries and organic light Liberty yogurt, plus a cappuccino (Whole Foods, 87 Avenue Rd., 416-944-0500, $12.96), all delivered by Concierge by Request (416-922‑1423, $60). Fuelled up, I’d take Lulu, my white Bichon–Shih Tzu, for a ride on a vintage Peugeot bicycle from Cyclemania (863 Bloor St. W., 416-533-0080, $150) to the waterfront. I’d wear Lululemon Athletica high-tech gear (342 Queen St. W., 416-703‑1399, $231), and Lulu would be wearing a waterproof hooded jacket ($60) from Titus & Galuteus (1004 King St. W., 416-596‑9066). Returning to the house, I’d meet a limousine driver who’d take me around for the day (Lucky Star Limousine Service, 416-740-6486, $2,400). First stop would be Boutique Le Trou (940 Queen St. W., 416-516‑7122), where I’d be outfitted in a skirt from Zoran Dobric ($395), a bustier from Fashion Psychology ($395) and a Juma jacket ($495)—plus a necklace from the Right Hand Gal ($395) and a bracelet from Rita D. ($250), chosen by Marlene Shiff, the store’s owner and a stylist who’s also my close friend. We’d meet Holt Renfrew’s Barbara Atkin and Bustle designers Shawn Hewson and Ruth Promislow for a laugh-filled lunch at the Courtyard Café in the Windsor Arms Hotel (18 St. Thomas St., 416-971-9666, $164). Afterward, I’d have a massage in the hotel’s spa ($95) and then a nap in a corner suite ($500). I’d wake up to find my evening outfit in the closet: a floor-length pleated dress from Renata Morales (Holt Renfrew, 50 Bloor St. W., 416-922-2333, $575) with a belted overcoat from Marie Saint Pierre (Finishing Touches, 3281 Yonge St., 416-482‑9034, $350). Eric from Salon Daniel (46 Blue Jays Way, 416-971‑9669) would come to style my hair ($200) in a ’50s beehive with a headband while his colleague Ania would be touching up my manicure ($50). I’d take five friends to the Foundation Room (19 Church St., 416-364‑8368), where we would have an assortment of Moroccan delicacies and martinis ($300). Grant Padley from Atomic Clock (416-937‑6905) would send a videographer to follow us ($2,000) as we storm the city. The limo would drop everyone off at Amber (119 Yorkville Ave., 416-926‑9037), where a crowd of 100 would be treated to drinks and a great time ($5,000). Back home, I’d take off my makeup and go to sleep smiling.
